Base K-Spin S1PS ESD HRO Aluminum Toe Work Shoes (Lightweight and Non-slip)
Base B1045B K-Spin S1PS ESD HRO SC FO SR Safety Shoe
Base B1045B K-Spin is the most equipped model in the Kaptiv series with S1PS safety class. Combining an aluminum toe cap, area-based puncture resistance (PS), ESD electrostatic discharge protection, and a 300°C heat-resistant HRO sole in a single lightweight shoe, the K-Spin is developed for electronic manufacturing, petrochemicals, metallurgy, and industrial environments with mixed risks. Its patented i-daptive® sole technology and water-resistant technical fabric upper offer superior comfort during long shifts.
Highlighted Features
S1PS Safety Class — Closed Heel + Area-Based Puncture Resistance
In addition to the S1P standard, the PS code provides area-based puncture protection covering the entire sole surface instead of a traditional steel strip midsole. This structure prevents objects like screws, nails, or sharp stones from penetrating at different angles, creating a much broader protection surface compared to S1P models. The closed heel (A) design eliminates the risks of impact and crushing from the rear.
ESD — Electrostatic Discharge Protection
Ensures controlled grounding of static electricity with conductivity values compliant with EN ISO 20345:2022 ESD requirements. It is an essential feature for workers in electronic component manufacturing, semiconductor factories, petrochemicals, and explosive environments (ATEX) class facilities. ESD protection also protects sensitive equipment from electrostatic damage.
HRO — 300°C Heat Resistant Sole
The Air-Tech dual-density PU/HRO rubber sole maintains sole integrity during momentary contact with hot surfaces, with 1-minute contact resistance up to 300°C. It is critical assurance for environments with high heat risks such as casting, metallurgy, welding, and power plants.
i-daptive® Smart Sole Technology
A patented midsole system that senses the foot's impact force, absorbs impact energy proportionally, and returns accumulated energy in the walking rhythm. It significantly reduces joint and muscle fatigue; the difference is noticeably felt in harsh floor conditions and long shifts.
Aluminum Toe Cap — Lightweight, Strong, Non-Conductive to Heat
The aluminum toe cap, resistant to 200 Joules of impact and 15 kN of compression load, is 50% lighter than steel alternatives and does not conduct heat. There is no risk of the metal chilling the foot in cold environments. The lightness advantage creates a noticeable difference in fatigue for personnel who stand all day.
SC — Heel Energy Absorption
The shock-absorbing system located in the heel area reduces the impact force transmitted to the lower extremities during walking. It contributes to the protection of knee, hip, and lower back health, especially during long periods of work on concrete and stone floors.
FO — Hydrocarbon Resistant Sole
The sole rubber compound is chemically resistant to petroleum, diesel, and derivative hydrocarbon liquids. It prevents the degradation of sole material in fuel depots, refineries, and production lines where lubricating oils are used.
SR — Certified Slip Resistance on Double Surfaces
The SR slip resistance certification, tested on both ceramic and steel surfaces according to EN ISO 13287 standard, provides secure grip on wet, oily, or slippery surfaces. It minimizes the risk of slipping frequently encountered in logistics, cleaning, and service sectors.
Water-Resistant Technical Fabric Upper & SmellStop Lining
The water-resistant technical textile upper blocks external moisture and splashes while supporting foot perspiration with its breathable structure. The SmellStop antibacterial lining prevents bacterial growth and bad odors at their source, maintaining hygiene during long working hours.

Which Sectors Is It Suitable For?
Base B1045B K-Spin can be safely used in electronic and semiconductor manufacturing (ESD requirement), petrochemical and refinery facilities (FO + ESD + HRO), metallurgy and casting (HRO + SC), shipyard and aircraft industry, power plants, construction and building sites (PS puncture resistance), logistics and warehouse operations, and agriculture and mining. It is the most comprehensive solution in the S1PS class for mixed-risk environments where multiple hazards are present.
What is the Difference Between B1045B K-Spin and B1045A K-Skip?
Both models share the same Kaptiv platform. The main difference is in the safety class: B1045A K-Skip S3S is designed for harsher environmental conditions with a water-resistant upper + S3 level. B1045B K-Spin S1PS, while retaining the same ESD, HRO, SC, FO, and SR protection codes, offers a lighter and more breathable structure; K-Spin is preferred when the S1PS class is sufficient in dry or controlled wet environments. The choice between them should be made based on the level of moisture and water exposure in the working environment.
