SlimCap™ Composite Toe — 35% Thinner, Full Protection

One of the most critical features of the B1217 I-Tool is its completely metal-free SlimCap™ composite toe cap. The profile thickness is reduced by 35% compared to traditional steel or aluminum toe caps, increasing the internal volume of the shoe and eliminating pressure on the toes. SlimCap™, which passes 200 joule impact and 15 kN compression tests, ensures no issues when passing through metal detectors or magnetic fields.

ESD — Electrostatic Safety for Industry 4.0

The ESD feature of the I-Tool is designed in accordance with the CEI EN 61340-5-1 standard. It continuously and controllably dissipates static charges accumulated on the bodies of workers in environments containing electronic components, semiconductors, explosive gases, or dust. This protects both the worker and the production line from electrostatic damage. The I4 collection is specially developed for Industry 4.0 environments — automation lines, robot cells, mechatronic assembly.

Dry'n Air® ESD Omnia Weareco Insole

Base Protection's patented Dry'n Air® technology continuously circulates air within the shoe through a pumping action created by heel pressure during walking. Moisture and hot air are expelled while fresh air is drawn in. The ESD Omnia Weareco version combines this air circulation with ESD conductivity, ensuring both foot health and electrostatic safety. Its DGUV 112-191 approved orthopedic structure reduces back and joint strain during long hours of standing work.

SmellStop™ 3D Antibacterial Lining

The SmellStop™ 3D lining permanently inhibits the growth of microorganisms that cause odors and fungal infections. Its three-dimensional woven structure quickly wicks moisture away from the skin. The wash-resistant antibacterial effect lasts for the entire lifespan of the shoe.

Antifatigue AirTech + TPU-Skin® Outsole

The Antifatigue AirTech sole absorbs shock forces with every step, reducing strain on joints and significantly decreasing daily fatigue for those who work long hours on concrete and hard surfaces. The TPU-Skin® coating on the outer surface thins the sole while increasing flexibility and providing resistance to acids, oils, and alkalis. The sole is also heat resistant up to 200°C (for 1 minute).

Fresh'n Flex Metal-Free Midsole

The Fresh'n Flex midsole, made of ballistic textile with zero-millimeter puncture resistance, provides full protection against nails, glass, and sharp metal objects while being much lighter and more flexible than traditional steel midsoles. Its completely metal-free structure contributes to the I-Tool's 100% metal-free certification.
