Base B1045C K-Super is the ultimate comfort model in the S1PS platform of the Kaptiv series. Sharing the same protection profile (S1PS ESD HRO SC FO SR) with the B1045B K-Spin, the feature that distinguishes the K-Super from the series is its patented Dry'n Air Omnia active air circulation insole: air pushed forward from the heel with each step expels heat and moisture from inside the foot. With a lightweight aluminum toe cap, area-based PS puncture resistance, and i-daptive® intelligent sole technology, the K-Super is a fully equipped safety shoe designed for long and demanding workdays.

Key Features

Dry'n Air Omnia — Active Air Circulation Insole

Base Protection's patented Dry'n Air Omnia system pushes air forward from the heel with each step, thanks to a network of free channels and holes in the insole. This mechanism expels moist and hot air from inside the foot while ensuring a continuous supply of fresh air. Result: the foot stays dry and cool even during 8–12 hour long shifts, significantly reducing the risk of fungal infections and unpleasant odors. This feature is the main difference that distinguishes the K-Super from the K-Spin (B1045B) model in the same series.

S1PS — Closed Heel + Area-Based Puncture Resistance

The PS code signifies area-based puncture protection covering the entire sole surface instead of a traditional steel strip midsole. It prevents penetration by objects such as screws, nails, or sharp stones from different angles; it offers a much wider protection surface compared to S1P models. The closed heel design also eliminates the risk of impact and crushing from the rear.

ESD — Electrostatic Discharge Protection

Ensures controlled grounding of static electricity with conductivity values compliant with EN ISO 20345:2022 ESD requirements. It is critical protection for workers in electronic component and semiconductor manufacturing, petrochemical, and explosive environment (ATEX) class facilities; it also protects sensitive equipment from electrostatic damage.

HRO — 300°C Heat Resistant Air-Tech Sole

The dual-density Air-Tech PU/HRO rubber sole maintains sole integrity in scenarios of instantaneous contact with hot surfaces, with 1 minute contact resistance up to 300°C. It is a mandatory assurance in casting, welding, metallurgy, and power plant environments.

i-daptive® — Smart Shock Absorbing Sole

A patented midsole technology that detects the force of the foot's impact with the ground, absorbs impact energy proportionally, and returns accumulated energy in the rhythm of walking. It significantly reduces joint and muscle fatigue; protects knee, hip, and lower back health during long-term work on concrete and hard surfaces.

Aluminum Toe Cap — Lightweight and Non-Heat Conductive

Aluminum toe cap resistant to 200 Joules of impact and 15 kN of crushing load; 50% lighter than steel alternatives and non-heat conductive. There is no risk of cold feet in cold environments. This lightness advantage creates a noticeable difference in fatigue with every step for personnel working on their feet all day.

SC — Heel Energy Absorption

The shock-absorbing system in the heel area reduces the impact force transmitted to the lower extremities during walking. It especially supports knee and lower back health during long-term work on concrete, asphalt, and stone surfaces.

FO + SR — Hydrocarbon Resistance and Dual-Surface Slip Resistance

Thanks to the FO code, the sole's rubber compound is chemically resistant to petroleum, diesel, and hydrocarbon liquids. The SR code is a slip resistance certificate tested on both ceramic and steel surfaces according to EN ISO 13287 standard; it provides secure grip on wet, oily, or slippery surfaces.

SmellStop Antibacterial Lining

The permanently antibacterial treated SmellStop lining prevents bacterial growth and bad odors at their source. Working together with the Dry'n Air Omnia insole, it provides double-layered protection for foot hygiene.

What is the Difference Between K-Super, K-Spin, and K-Skip?

All three models share the same Kaptiv platform and S1PS ESD HRO SC FO SR protection profile (K-Skip differs with S3S class). The main difference between them is the insole: B1045B K-Spin focuses on daily comfort with the Fresh'n Flex Plus super lightweight insole. B1045C K-Super, in addition, is optimized for intense work and hot environmental conditions with the Dry'n Air Omnia active air circulation system. If the working environment has high temperature and humidity, K-Super is preferred; K-Spin is preferred for standard conditions.
